Hand Held PDA
Using a hand held PC device or PDA coupled with a compact flash reader a security guard can verify a cardholders identity anywhere on a
site. They simply hold the users card up to the handheld device and the card details, photograph or biometric information is instantly displayed on the screen.
This technology is particularly useful on large
spread out sites where doors or gates cannot always be used to restrict a persons' movement between areas i.e. Airports, Ports, Building Sites, Universities etc.
At the end of a security guards shift they
simply plug the handheld device directly into a docking station connected to the server PC and all of the checks that the guard had made that day are uploaded to the GuardPoint Pro events log.
